Abstract

The time has come for me to leave the position of the editor - in - chief of CIT I was privileged to participate in the birth of the journal which appeared for the first time in 1993 as a result of the forward looking action of a small, enthusiastic group of people. Our intention was to see on the pages of the new journal, not only scientific papers, but also the papers covering educational, social, legal and managerial aspects of computing and information technology. Our editorial policy has encouraged case studies describing significant applications, as well as critical evaluation of theory.
